Payroll / Admin Assistant

We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our client located in Tipton, you will be working alongside and assisting the office manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors / answer multi-line telephone system and transfer calls
  • Process weekly timesheets for direct and indirect personnel via time & attendance system and Excel spreadsheets
  • Administer holidays / sickness notifications / Expenses and all other related records for payroll purposes
  • Program fobs and distribute to new and existing starters
  • Process monthly payroll and make payments via BACS system
  • Deal with all related payroll and administration queries
  • Raise and process purchase orders
  • Match delivery notes to invoices and add supplier invoices to Sage
  • Maintain records / data control
  • Observe all Health / Safety and Company Policies / Procedures

Key Skills and qualifications:

  • Literacy and numeracy skills minimum level 3
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of payroll administration
  • Experience of Sage line 50
  • Ability to multi – task and prioritise work load
  • Attention to detail and maintains confidentiality at all times
  • Works well in a team environment and on own initiative
  • Adaptable approach to business requirements

Hours of work: Full time, Mon – Thurs 8am – 4.45pm and Fri 8am – 3pm

Hourly rate: negotiable, dependent on experience

Other requirements:

Minimum of two years prior experience in a similar administrative role is essential

Assembler

Location: Lichfield

Rate: £9 per hour

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm

We are looking for Assemblers to work in the Lichfield area.

As an Assembler  you must have:

ICC Control Tower Operator

Location: Kingsbury Link

Salary: £25000 per annum

Hours: Rotating shifts, 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm and 10pm – 6am

Our client is recruiting for the role of ICC Control Tower Operator, overseeing all International Import, Export & UK Domestic Inbound & Outbound transport movements for their Depots. The role will include ETSF (Customs) Clearance.

Post EU membership, their depots will act as Inland Customs Centres upon Import and Export. Shipments destined for, or arrived from, within the EU will require Customs Clearance to be processed before Transport can be arranged.

The applicant must have good financial awareness, organised and punctual, good knowledge of the road freight industry and previous experience in vehicle slot management and Gatehouse booking in procedures.

They are looking for a person who can add extra quality to their already highly skilled planning team and be able come up with alternative solutions to challenges and problems whilst at the same time work under pressure.

Main purpose of Job:

The ICC Control Tower Operator will oversee all inbound and outbound vehicle movements in line with a pre-advised Slot Management Schedule. They will also be required to co-ordinate the customs clearance between the Customer and internal company operations. This will involve the use of IT to interface with HMRC systems and monitor the clearance status of shipments.

They will provide release notifications to enable cargo to be delivered either outbound on Export or for Import Delivery. They will ensure all HMRC documents are prepared correctly and that the depots receive clear instruction on cargo when it is released.

  • Co-ordinate with Market/ Warehouse re final loaded cargo status.
  • Production of customs transit documents with correct destinations
  • Driver despatch of all paperwork incl. CMRs T-forms
  • Notification for shipping line of Safety and Security Declaration
  • Manage T-form discharge process for ICC
  • Send Pre Advice to overseas partner (outside of normal office hours)
  • Maintaining records of clearance, being organised and accurate with all systems are essential requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience in the Logistics Industry
  • Good communication skills with colleagues and external customers
  • Preferably some knowledge of Customs processes or systems
  • Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.
  • Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
  • Prepare correct documentation to the Warehouse/Haulage/Distribution/Shipping department for loading/offloading cargo to vehicles, in a timely manner,
  • Maintain awareness of and follow transport (and H.M. Customs) regulations, where relevant, to conform to all statutory requirements.

Admin / Office Support

Rate: £9.00 per hour

We are looking for an office junior / office administrator to support the HR department within a busy manufacturing company.

  • Greet and welcome visitors / reception duties
  • Answer multi-line telephone system, determine caller’s needs and route to the appropriate department / person in a polite and professional manner
  • Perform data entry / compose and check emails
  • Input data into Excel spreadsheets
  • Process / input of dispatch notes and invoices
  • Maintain customer records / data control
  • Provide general administrative duties to support our management team
  • Receive and route incoming mail deliveries and prepare outgoing mail and packages for pickup
  • Filing, scanning, photo copying, printing of all required documents

Gatehouse / Traffic Marshall

Location: Fradley Park, Lichfield

Rate: £10.00 per hour

Hours: 6pm – 3am and 9pm – 6am

My client located in Fradley Park, Lichfield are looking for an experienced Gatehouse / Traffic Marshall to join their busy team.

As a Gatehouse / Traffic Marshall, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Controlling traffic around our sites.
  • Dealing with visiting divers, assuring site compliance to our site rules.
  • Working with the site supervisors will be first point of contact.

There are approximately 400 inbound vehicles to site per night – Vehicles are booked in using our PC based system. Training will be provided.

Due to the number of vehicles, you must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication and organisational skills are essential

There are two shifts that may be required so flexibility is a must.

A Counterbalance Forklift licence would be an advantage but not essential.

This could be based at either of our sites at Fradley. Due to location and hours of work you will need to have your own transport

This is a 13 week temp to perm position, the wage for the first 13 weeks will be £10.00 per hour, after 13 weeks the wage will increase to £11.35 per hour.

QA Operative

Location: Tipton

Rate: £10.00 – £12.00 per hour

Hours: 8am – 4:15pm

Working for an automotive company based in Tipton. This position is an 8wk temp to perm.

This position requires the person to be able to use initiative and be flexible when the workload is high.

  • The person must be conscientious and have good work ethic to ensure we do not affect our customers with incorrect deliveries.
  • A good level of mathematics will be required due to the need to check quantities of deliveries and dispatches.
  • Understanding the importance of this role as the end user and ensuring correct paperwork and parts are present.
  • A good level of communication skills are required to ensure passing of information is completed and any issues reported as a priority.
  • The individual will be required to work as part of a team and be able to have input into improvements and accept change readily.
  • Flexibility in the role is required as they will be expected to perform general operator duties alongside the stores operative role where the business requires.
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety and safety checks are desirable to ensure a good working environment is achieved on a daily basis.

Requirements are:

  • 12 months minimum Quality Inspector/Assurance
  • Excellent Mathematics and English skills
  • Experience with Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to use own initiative
  • Input of data from Quality testing, Data analysis, computer literate – Excel, Word and Power Point.
